How can a deputy sheriff spend one moment catching a badger in downtown Buffalo and the next investigating one of the most horrific crimes imaginable?
In this memorable clip from the From The Ground Up Show, Deputy Sheriff candidate Adrian Keeler shares a humorous story about capturing an angry badger in the middle of a busy Wyoming summer tourist season.
But the conversation quickly takes a deeper turn.
Adrian explains the emotional reality of law enforcement: officers often move from lighthearted community moments to some of the darkest situations imaginable, sometimes within the same shift. The contrast highlights the resilience, perspective, and coping mechanisms required to serve in law enforcement while continuing to show up for the community every day.
This is an honest look at the human side of policing, leadership under pressure, mental resilience, and the challenges faced by those who dedicate their lives to public service.
Learn more about Deputy Adrian Keeler’s vision for leadership, service, and public safety in Sheridan County.
